Supervision

Supervision is learning through reflection on one’s own work experiences. As a supervisee you learn to investigate your own thoughts, ideas and behaviour, so that you gain insight into your own actions and can improve this permanently. You decide for yourself which experiences and questions are current and that you whish to discuss in the supervision.

I offer both individual and small group supervision to Creative Therapists (all discilines), Schema Therapists and Bachelor trained professionals working in social work professions.

As a supervisor I have to comply with the requirements of the various registers and professional codes. The supervision process requires time and regularity and requires careful construction and dismantling. Supervision programs usually consist of 10 to 20 times spread over a calendar year. The frequency of the meetings is often 1x every 3 to 4 weeks. A supervision meeting lasts 60 or 90 minutes at a time.

In the supervision I combine verbal methods with non- verbal methods such as role play, writing and working with cards.  After each meeting you write a reflection that you send back to me well in advance for the next supervision.

During the supervision traject you share two video recordings of a session with a client, which we discuss.  It is good to prepare yourself in advance for the supervision so that you have a clear idea of what you want to discuss.

Depending on the number of sessions agreed, we schedule evaluations after each supervision period to see how your process is going. We will look at your learning objectives and you can give me feedback.  If necessary, we can then make some adjustments and draw up points for attention for the next supervision period.

As a supervisor I am registerd bij  Register voor Vaktherapie, VSt, ISST, LVSC and BADth.
